IRAD-FEOR call
1st IRAD-FEOR Project Fund 2025
Call aimed at identifying and promoting promising research initiatives in Radiation Oncology, with scientific rigour and potential clinical or basic impact.
Objective of the call
IRAD seeks to promote research in Radiation Oncology and create strategic alliances that drive the development of scientific and technological innovations in the field.
For all these reasons, IRAD is launching this 1st Call for the IRAD-FEOR 2025 Radiation Oncology Research Project Fund, with the aim of promoting and increasing the critical mass of research and researchers in Radiation Oncology.
This Project Fund call has the fundamental objective of identifying and promoting the most promising research initiatives, with the greatest scientific rigour and excellence, and with the highest clinical/basic potential and impact in the coming years for the development and advancement of Radiation Oncology.
Integration into the IRAD research network
Submitted projects may be integrated into IRAD’s research network, gaining access to institutional resources and opportunities to strengthen their impact and visibility in the scientific community.
Thematic research areas in Radiation Oncology
Researchers are invited to submit projects in the following research areas, provided they are aligned with IRAD’s objectives and vision:
- Medicina personalizada
Research exploring the personalisation of radiotherapy treatments based on individual patient and tumour characteristics, to maximise efficacy and minimise side effects. - Inteligencia Artificial (IA)
Development of AI-based technologies to optimise treatment planning, therapy personalisation and improve accuracy in dose delivery. - Techniques and clinical studies
Techniques and clinical studies that improve the effectiveness of radiotherapy in different types of cancer. - Translational research
Projects seeking to transfer scientific advances from the laboratory to the clinic, focusing on innovations that directly impact radiotherapy practice. - Quality of life of patients undergoing radiotherapy and long-term survivors
Projects focused on assessing and improving patients’ quality of life, reducing side effects and improving the management of treatment-related symptoms. - Dose optimisation and reduction of side effects
Research aimed at improving the accuracy of dose delivery, minimising damage to healthy tissues and reducing adverse effects associated with radiotherapy. - Development of new predictive and therapeutic models
Projects that develop predictive tools to anticipate patient response to radiotherapy, enabling precise adjustments to doses or applied techniques.
